The good news is that Pengilly said they were already writing and recording a new studio disc with Fortune -- the first track called Violent Works of Art -- and are planning on touring following that release.

"It's a pretty sexy beat and rhythm kind of thing we put down," said Pengilly. "But it's a little early to kind of go, 'How's the record going to sound?' We don't really know.

INXS guitarist-saxophonist Kirk Pengilly has a good explanation for Toronto frontman J.D. Fortune's claims in 2009 he was let go by the band with a handshake at an airport two years earlier.

I've always gotten the warm and fuzzies whenever I see JD with the guys. Not only does he sound right with them but he just looks right. They are so made for each other I just wish they would get their act together. They're like a high school romance.

Looks like I was too slow to check your link PT. It's already been taken down from youtube and I can't seem to get the other link to work. My mind has been somewhere else these past few weeks and I keep forgetting to watch SYTYCD. I love that show so I don't know what's wrong with me lately. I guess I can blame it on the summer heat.

Here's an interview that Kirk and JD did on radio while they were in Broome: ABC Kimberley

It makes for a good listen. Kirk says that JD is their permanent fromtman again, which is GREAT! There's also a mention from Kirk that they're doing a show in Houston in a few weeks. Don't know where in Houston though and there's no mention of it on INXS.com. Also this week they will be in Sydney doing some song writing, so lets hope for a new album sometime in the next year!
