I have been having an adventure with deeceegee. We've been going to a local swimming pool. Not to swim. To therapy.
Well, I've been going to therapy, dcg has been going to keep me company --- and to cool off. We go about three times a week, and I am just supposed to hang onto the side of the pool and stretch my legs and kick. Pretty easy. There are seven (cute) lifeguards right where we "swim" ha ha - who look after us really well. It's a new pool (well, new to the public using it in the summer, that is) and so there isn't a crowd, because it's not as well known as the others, which we found to be jammed full. So it's a real treat to be so pampered. We've met a few pool mates, couples and singles, and a mother-daughter combo like us, and it's been a lot of fun, besides being good for me.
I also have to sit outside in either the slanting morning or slanting afternoon sun every time I can find it, and sit there for 15 minutes on the front and then the back. I'm getting a lot of freckles -- if I get enough, I guess I can call it a tan.....
The pool therapy is to help fix what's wrong with my knees and lower legs - apparently it's not just a glandular imbalance, there is a nasty nerve group acting up, and muscles bunching up to protect the nerves. Or something like that. Anyway, I'm on a super-protein regimen, and that tastes pretty good too, so I'm not complaining. Besides all the above, I have to use a vibration massage on the muscles, and go in to the dr.'s to get hooked up to a machine which helps calm everything down as well.
So, that's the tiny little update. Feeling generally fine. Deeceegee is her usual beautiful self. And our bunnies, Mickey and Cooper, are doing great too. Plus -- I have a wild rabbit somewhere in my back yard. Dcg and I saw him/her the other day having a real frolic in the back yard.
Oh, yes - we are both going for Apple sessions to learn all about the programs like iMovie, Keynote, and Garage Band, etc., and that has been a riot! Dcg is really, really good at it (as I knew she would be). I just hang onto her coattails. Although it's my computer, they let her attend my lessons (supposed to be one-on-one sessions) and she takes notes while I go through the learning motions. We've been amazed at how great the programs are, and what we can do with them. Dcg just completed a project using hubby's family as the subjects, and the special effects she used were spectacular.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Love ya!
