Our site is growing and aging and it's time for a
refresher course in OBINXS etiquette. Please read
these new suggested guidelines and realize that
they are put here so that our site will remain as
wonderful as it has always been.

gathering of people.
There are rules of etiquette that everyone is
expected to follow.
OBINXS aims to foster the widest possible range of
members with diverse viewpoints, supported by a
vast array of content and services. In light of this
goal, your OBINXS experience is bound only by a
set of common sense rules that require you to be
civil and show respect for others when you are online.
*Be kind and honest
Don't attack individuals. Personal attacks on
individuals will not be excused. Challenge others'
points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully
and thoughtfully... without insult and personal
attack. Also, no trollish, threatening, abusive,
stalking or any other negative behavior will be
tolerated. Any posts of this nature will be
automatically deleted. You also may not impersonate
another individual or communicate under a name
that you are not entitled to use.
*Communication
Write clearly when you compose a message. Review
your message carefully before clicking the Send
button. Remember, if your message can be misunder
stood, it will be, and communicating online is entirely
different than real life. Inflections cannot be conveyed
over the web. Use your personal judgment. If you are
unsure if you should post something, ask yourself a
few questions. Will this be considered offensive to
the other? Is this is somewhat related to one of the
topics on the board? If you ask yourself these
questions and come to the conclusion that your
post is inappropriate, there is a great chance it is.
*Consider sending a reply by e-mail
Some replies are better sent as e-mail, rather than
posted to a board. Personal messages and especially
critical comments are more appropriate when sent
directly and privately. Remember that everyone here
would wish to be treated exactly as you would like to
be treated. If at any time it seems that a thread may
be getting out of control, take it to e-mail or PM.
*Keep in mind the purpose of this site.
It was created for people to share their love of INXS
with others and that is our main objective. If you cannot
play well with others you will be banned - for a set period
of time or forever. It's your call. Again, be kind.
