I have been an avid fan of INXS since I first watched them on MTV in the early 80s. The first video I saw was "The One Thing" and there was Michael in his cool, black hat, and Tim was "smoking hot" on the guitar.
I have seen the band 3 times in recent history: Seattle, WA, Jacksonville, FL, & Vancouver, B.C., where we were able to meet the band becuase they stayed in the same hotel we did (pure luck!). J.D. gets better every time I see him! He is sexy on stage and humble off. He was definitely the right choice - no doubt about that!
Let's see... oh!!!! I am going to my 4th concert on August 28th up in Kamloops, B.C. I was able to snag 1st row tickets so my husband, son and I are going to drive up from Seattle to see the show. I am so excited, and so is my son!! He attended the show in Seattle, but we were pretty far up and he couldn't see over everyone's heads. Plus, he didn't go to Vancouver with us, so he was (to say the least) broken hearted that we met the band when he wasn't there
Well......... hopefully I can make up for all that this time! I got him 1st row seats so he can be right there and get the full experience of an awesome performance. We should be right in front of Kirk, and that is perfect because my son is a big fan of his since they play similar instruments: sax & guitar.
We were in front of Tim in Vancouver, B.C., and that was a blast! We were right down there when they filmed the Perfect Strangers video. I will miss "not seeing" Tim up close this time, but it is perfect for my son to be in front of Kirk
My son and I play together sometimes (I play guitar too), but he is always telling me to turn the volume down, can you believe that? I have resorted to playing my acoustic lately so I don't disturb everyone. Who is the teenager in my house? hm....
