Guitarist Jim McGorman once again brings an eclectic energy to "Rock Star" that's served him well throughout his varied musical career. Among other artists, the native Philadelphian cites the classic soul of his hometown (like Gamble and Huff) as well as Coldplay and U2 as major musical influences. Once a member of the influential band The New Radicals, he's also served as music director to multi-platinum artist Michelle Branch. He's seen many tours, including memorable routes with Poison, Marc Broussard and notably, Cher. On Cher's Farewell Tour, Jim played not only guitars and keyboards but also sang a duet with Cher each night. Jim's credits also include writing and performing original songs for television including the shows, "One Tree Hill" and "Smallville." Other TV performanced include work on "The Tonight Show," BBC's "Top of the Pops" and MTV's "TRL." You can check out Jim's new solo album at his website, www.jimmcgorman.com.
