I became interested in INXS at very tender young age, saw them on TV with their brand new video "Don't Change". Now that was quite a while ago and they have been my favourite band since that day. I put the shout out to all my friends to tune into that station right then and there and soon there were a lot of INXS crazy fans in my circle of friends!!!

It was one of the last shows, only JD, Marty, Mig, and Suzie were left. I knew the band, but wasn't ever really into their music. I thought I would check them out and bought the greatest hits album and fell in love with them!! I watched the last few eps of RockStar and liked all 3 finalists. I loved Mig because I wanted to keep the band all Australian (My Aussie pride lol). However, deep down I knew he would not be roit for Our Band. I thought Marty was great, and I loved the song 'Trees', but he screamed a bit too much in songs for my liking. That left JD. I thought he was really HOT (still do) and was a fantastic performer. He was the one! After Rockstar was over, I went out and got myself a copy of the I'm Only Looking DVD. I got to the 'Don't Change' film clip and saw Jon. That was all it took! I became a Jonette! I was searching the internet for more info on him and found another site, which eventually lead me here! INXS (Jon in particular) are my passion. It's good to have a healthy obsession, I always say!! I love to talk with other fans about what is going on, who's doing what, tour info and much more. I will talk about the band with anyone, whether they're as obsessed as I am, more obsessed than I am, or not obsessed at all!! And that's what this thread is all about! Fan's simply having a chat about the boys. Anything and everything about them! So come on in, pull up a seat and chat away (And if you got through this much of my post I comend you for it )

The Story Of How I Really Uncovered INXS Is Unknown, And Slightly Odd.. So -- Alas, It Is My Turn... I was in a band, as the lead singer, but then my dad brought up the fact that i can play the saxaphone (as well as other instruments) and i should play it with the band. Of course, never hearing a rock band with saxophone in it I told my dad he was crazy, but he told me 'You should check out INXS -- They had a saxaphone player'.. And at this time (about last christmas) I had never even heard of INXS. So I go out, and see what i can find and I listen to some INXS... "Hmm, pretty good - not too sure if i like them though" was about my reaction.. Little did i know, the obsession that would become, hehe. So- I thought that I'd try to listen to more of this 'INXS' band, but then never got around to it.. (I'm known for not finishing things off like that) Anyways.. So a few months go by and i hear about this show.. Rockstar:INXS.. I decided to tune in... First episode.. I watch, and automatically I have three favorite (who later turned out to be Marty, MiG and JD...) Hmm.. The top Three, I've got skills... So i went online and voted.. for the three of them -- one vote each, because i thought that was all you were allowed at the time.. Next week rolls around and I single JD out as my favorite.. since then i was a fan of them, and when they picked JD -- wow, I became insane.. So-- I'll keep my INXS Meeting stories for another time -- Wow, this introductery (sp?) posts are getting long. -Peace. JDIMH

Recently being about a year or two, when I finally figured out how to use the record player and played my dad's old INXS records. I've been in love ever since!

Then I went on a hiatus of REAL music when the late 90's pop took over. It was around the time of RS that I got back to my rock roots and became a full blown BSC INXS and JD fan.

How I got hooked on INXS.. it's all Kira's fault really. We went to her friends house and I saw the Taste it video. Then ever since that she started listening to more and more of INXS, whether it be in the car going places, or at home on the computer. Needless to say, I got hooked, because I grew to love their music. Haven't watched all of Rockstar INXS yet.. maybe a few episodes...But I'm going to one of these days, sit down and watch it!

There's just something about it that's so... yeah I'm not so good with words... lol it's just great!! 90's pop... I must say it is great dance music at parties!! I know the actual music isn't the best by any means, but I'll dance to Spice Girls over the modern techno stuff any day!! Just my opinion!! Back on topic: I love that RS helped people realise their love for INXS, whether it was just re-igniting it, or being found for the first time!
